Once a year, the best and the brightest in the Youth Sports Performance Industry come together for a long weekend of education and networking at the Annual Parisi Summit. After converging and taking over the McCormick Scottsdale for three days last weekend, it is safe to say that this year’s event was the best one yet.
All of the Owners, Program Directors and Coaches in #ParisiNation are ready to hit the ground running at their respective Parisi Speed Schools and deliver an even better experience for all of the young athletes that come through our doors. Here is a rundown of some highlights of this past weekend:
It all started on Wednesday and Thursday with our regional training, followed by our Advanced Certification. Master Trainers Steve Leo, Eric Mitchell, John Cirilo, Chad Coy, Casey Lee, and Joe Virga definitely dropped, as they would say, “Some Knowledge Bombs,” and did a fantastic job coaching up some coaches.
Friday started off with a Networking and Idea Share Breakfast. Franchisees had the opportunity to connect or reconnect with each other for the first hour, which was followed by Bill moderating a discussion on unique ideas and trends going on at our locations.
Presentations on Friday showcased Jesse Wareing of Wareing’s Gym in Virginia Beach on “How to Build a Culture in Your Community,” with Doug Sharp and Sean Hall of Newtown Athletic Club talking about the connection between team training and small group training. On the youth training side of things, Vertimax and TRX gave us the latest and greatest info on resistance training and suspension training, respectively.
On Friday night we traded in the athletic gear, apparel and shoes for suits, ties and dresses to attend the Parisi Speed School Best Practice Awards. Congratulations to all of our award winners:

Saturday morning started off with a bang, with Bill giving our keynote address about the power of the Parisi Network. Owners, Eric Mitchell of Parisi Speed School Downington and Rich Sadiv of Parisi Speed School Fair Lawn contributed, talking about the importance of overcoming adversity and the influence we have on the kids we train. Bill capped it off with just, “One More Throw.”
Saturday presentations were highlighted by Steve Leo and Casey Lee talking about correcting biomechanical speed mistakes, with our partners Method Sports Performance and NCSA Athletic Recruiting talking about their respective programs.

Finally, we had one last get together to wrap up the weekend… an informal reception under the desert sky.
The 2016 Parisi Annual Summit is in the books. However, all of the takeaways will continue to permeate through our locations over the next year and beyond. We are the leader in the youth sports performance industry and in order to stay there, we will work just as hard off the training floor, as our athletes work on it.
