A performance plan (also known as an exercise plan) is becoming more and more popular for an athlete in every sport. Unfortunately, many athletes train without this and are unfamiliar with that is involved which can make starting an exercise program challenging.
It’s important for an athlete to talk to a coach that can keep their end-goal in mind. When designing a program, we consider goals, think about which classes will best benefit that individual athlete, include variety (speed, strength, agility), allow time recovery, and document it all.
Why You Should Be On a Performance Plan
1. Helps set and reach goals
2. Provides structure
3. Prevents overtraining and injury
