I recently had a conversation with one of my clients centered around a new goal. The conversation was focused around how to set up the action steps required to achieve their goal.
As I explain this to you, understand the goal isn’t important right now. What IS important is how we help this client start taking action on the steps needed to hit this goal.
After all, clients hitting goals is what gets us paid, right Coach?
The conclusion we came to is that the action steps were becoming a hindrance. It was becoming just too hard for this client to add additional things to his day in order to make his goal become a reality. So I made a bold suggestion.
“What if you could pay to make it easy?”
This tactic isn’t for everyone, but is a viable strategy for those who want something, but find the action steps to make it happen a challenge.
In your case, Coach, maybe you want to learn more about how plyometric volume affects speed development. There are plenty of research articles to read…so long that you have the time and brain capacity to remember everything.
Maybe you want to learn about the difference between closed and open loop feedback…
What if you want to start working with teams so that you can boost your yearly income…
Maybe you share a commonality with my client. The goal is great, but man oh man, the challenge is taking action.
But what if you could pay to make it easy? Again, not for everyone, but if you want to make the action steps stick, hire it out.
