With a new year comes new business goals. If you are the owner of a health club, sports plex or studio gym, we know that one of your most common challenges is figuring out how to sell more gym memberships.
Should you lower membership costs to meet the competition? Invest in upgraded equipment and training space? Higher a consulting firm to figure it out for you?
While there are many options on how to sell more gym memberships, there may be one you haven’t thought of – add a new service offering with the Parisi Speed School license.
The History of Parisi
In 25+ years of business, we have learned a lot from our growing network. The fitness industry has evolved time and time again and we continue to adapt in order to best serve our customer. With more than 100 locations across the nation, and multiple opportunities worldwide, we feel we’ve always been able to meet the demands of the industry and equip our facilities for long-term success.
Bill Parisi, founder of Parisi Franchise Systems, Inc. has been developing successful techniques to improve speed and agility in young athletes for decades. In 2005, Bill started franchising the Parisi Speed School and his proven methodology. Our proven Parisi Youth Training System has made us the leader in safe youth sport performance training.
Our slate of professional athletes who have benefited from the Parisi Youth Training System include:
- Greg Olsen, an All-Pro tight end for the Carolina Panthers, who has a been a Parisi athlete since grade school.
- Chris Long, son of Howie Long. Chris was named best NFL combine performer for a defensive lineman after working with us and now plays for the New England Patriots.
- Tobin Heath, an outstanding mid-fielder for the US Women’s National Soccer Team, who is a FIFA World Cup Silver and Gold Medalist and two-time Olympic Gold Medalist.
We count our real success with the local youth athletes who have improved their game and countless youth who lead healthier lives due to our program. Every day, our facilities across the country empower America’s youth through increased fitness, confidence, and performance.
Benefits of a Parisi Speed School License
If empowering America’s youth through a proven training system isn’t enough of a reason, consider the tremendous growth that our facilities have experienced when implementing a Parisi license after worrying about how to sell more gym memberships. What started as a one-man shop training out of a $500 van in northern New Jersey has exploded into a national and international network with more than 600,000 athletes, a large percentage of whom go on to play the collegiate and professional levels.
Furthermore, adding a Parisi Speed School to your facility is a way of getting the whole family involved, resulting in increased member retention and inquiries. More often than not, multiple children from the same family will come through your Parisi Speed School. They’ll tell their friends and so on, and so on.
A Parisi Speed School License differentiates your facility from the competition. It is one of the most valuable and innovative ways to sell more gym memberships. You’re able to provide your members a new, cutting-edge program, give your athletes a competitive edge and your facility benefits from an additional revenue stream.

Closing the Deal: Selling More Gym Memberships
So you’ve decided to add a Parisi Speed School license to your facility. Now what? Our corporate team has your back with proven strategies on how to sell more gym memberships.
-
- Parent Orientation: The first thing we always recommend is to have your prospective customers attend a Parent Orientation where they will hear the Parisi story and successes, learn about you and your business and get excited for the many benefits their children will receive by joining your program.
- Athlete Evaluation: All new athletes should go through an athlete evaluation, where they perform eight or more tests and their results are recorded for proper class grouping. This also serves as a wonderful measurement of progress and sales tool when meeting with the parents.
- The Parisi Nation Challenge: A fun and competitive way to keep your athletes motivated and connected to the program. By taking part, athletes will be able to identify areas where they have improved since enrolling in the program, while at the same time, receive feedback on how they can continue developing their game and compete against athletes not only at their facility, but all over the country.
These are just a few of the very valuable ways that our facilities have been able to sell more gym memberships by promoting their Parisi Speed School.
