Q. How many times can my youth/athlete train per week and what is optimal?
A. The amount of training per week depends on the specific Parisi program. Some programs are unlimited, while others are specific to a number of days per week. The optimal amount of training per week again depends on the program, but in general 2-3 days per week is average.
Q. What is the best Parisi program for my youth/athlete?
A. The best program for your youth/athlete depends on his/her goals and yours. The only way to determine the best fit is to contact your local Parisi and book an evaluation. During that time, the Parisi staff will discuss the results of the evaluation, along with goals and recommend the most appropriate program for your youth/athlete.
Q. What is best if my youth is not an athlete and he/she is just looking to get into shape?
A. If your youth is looking to get active, lose weight and/or get in shape, then the Total Conditioning is the answer. Many of our Total Conditioning youth find the “athlete within them” during the Total Conditioning experience and go on to train like an athlete in our sports performance program.
Q. What is youth performance training?
A. Sports performance training is a relatively new term. It focuses in training a young athlete to be the best he/she can be in his/her chosen sport. The training includes the foundations of any good athlete: speed, agility, strength, and self confidence. And, an added benefit of good sports performance training is a reduction of sports related injury.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. Parisi programming has a variety of of pricing offerings to fit into any budget. We offer “pay up front” and monthly options. Most of our locations offer no-contract and contract options based on what works best for your situation, as well as flexibility to “freeze” Parisi participation during your athlete’s sports season.
Q. How does scheduling work?
A. Parisi offers 50-minute to 1-hour program at least once a day and usually multiple times per day. Since most youth/athletes train 2-3 times per week, this schedule provides the maximum flexibility for your busy schedule. Our schedule can be located as one of our tabs on the “Home” page of our website. General hours are 4-8pm. Contact a Parisi rep for specifics about our schedule at 631-277-7333.
Q. How many youths/athletes are in a class?
A. Class size depends on the program, but generally we follow class sizes below:
Youth- Q. College Prep Program: 5-10 per group
PEAK- 1-4 per group
Q. Does the program include weight-lifting… I have heart that is unsafe for young children?
A. Our Youth and JV programs do not include weight lifting, but use body weight techniques to increase strength in a safe and effective way. We also use other means of resistance training such as resistance bands, sandbags, suspension or core training equipment. Athletes in our Varsity, PEAK, and College Prep programs will incorporate carefully scripted and monitored weight lifting into their programs. All of our strength scripts for these programs have been written and approved by experts in the field of youth sports performance. You can rest assured that your athlete will be well taken care of in our programs!
Q. How long will it take to see results?
A. Results depend on the effort your youth/athlete puts into the program. Most youth/athletes who come in 2-3 times per week and are engaged in the sessions will feel and see immediate results, but you will begin seeing results after only several weeks. If you ever question your youth/athlete’s progress, the Parisi staff will be happy to conduct an updated evaluation.
Q. How is the Parisi program different than other youth sports performance offerings?
A. Our founder, Bill Parisi, has been training young athletes for 20-years. His methodologies and programming were built for youth, NOT an adult program that us “customized” for youth, which is a different set of skills than training adults. Parisi has been in the business of training youth since our inception… it is not simply another market beyond adult to sell for us!
Q. Do you offer Team Training?
A. Yes! Parisi has trained dozens of teams from all across the Island. From local town teams to school teams, to small group training for Semi-Professional and Professional Athletes; you name it, we do it! Our “Sports Specific Programs” also caters to “Off-site Training.” This means that Parisi will bring their professionally trained Staff to your team’s location, whether it be at a school or a local park. Our P4 “Team Training” Program incorporates four fundamental and essential elements that are proven to be game-changers for coaches who are serious about their athlete’s training, reducing the chance of injury, reaching their physical potential, all while building confidence and bolstering team unity.
