When I speak to new prospective families, I often get hit with a common issue: their athlete plays soccer, for example, year round. How will they fit Parisi training into their schedule?
Athletes spend so much time playing their sports and often very little time preparing their bodies to play those sports. Long term, if you want to keep your athlete healthy and engaged, having an off season that includes actual rest time and training is extremely important.
What does Parisi bring to the table? The technical aspects of all movement. Proper strength training that ensures muscular balance and stability. We say we increase speed, agility, and strength, but it’s much deeper than that. We ensure your athlete moves safely and efficiently first, then quick and powerfully next.
How do we fix the issue of mental and physical burnout? Give athletes a couple of weeks between sports seasons and spend at least 3 months during the year preparing their bodies to play their sport with training. I’ve seen this be an extremely effective strategy anecdotally among professional athletes as well as with the athletes I’ve trained over the last 10 years.
