No bones about it ! Hockey stops are a great exercise for learning the mechanics of change of direction. It is also an excellent plyometric drill. I do it in my adult fitness classes as well.  Here is an interesting view of the body’s mechanics.   Crazy to see how much my femur internally rotates when I land on this particular exercise.
