Our Active Dynamic Warm-Up…In Action!

Home » Blog » Our Active Dynamic Warm-Up…In Action!

March 24, 2017 //  by George Stephens//  Leave a Comment

One of the most critical pieces to our training philosophy, is our signature Active Dynamic Warm-Up (ADW).  Most athletes confuse slow, static stretching as a warm-up and that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Our ADW focuses on specific exercises using dynamic movements to promote an increase in core temperature and blood flow.  When used consistently, athletes will see an increase in all aspects of performance: speed, strength and agility.

Watch the video below as Master Trainer Joe Virga, in partnership with the Art of Coaching Volleyball, demonstrates part of our ADW.  Special thanks to Serena Mueller, a freshman middle blocker at the University of New Hampshire, and Gavin Graff, an eighth-grader at Muirlands Middle School in San Diego.
