WE CARE ABOUT YOUR SAFETY!
At Whirlwinds Speed Academy, the health and wellness of our athletes, coaches, staff and visitors is top priority. We recognize that the ongoing fight with Covid-19 and flu season presents a higher level of sensitivity as it relates to the spread of germs. Even more so with the concerns surrounding the current Coronavirus outbreak. For your protection, we have implemented many best practices and standards which are aggressive in the battle against germs and illness. Some of these include: All of our coaches and staff will be wearing masks as needed and performing hand hygiene before and after classes. Our workout areas are disinfected several times throughout the day. Limited class sizes to allow for proper physical distancing. Temperature checks conducted on athletes and coaches prior to each class. Staggered class times.
In addition to our best practices, the following are simple ways to keep yourself and others healthy:
AVOID TOUCHING YOUR FACE
Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands to help prevent viruses from easily entering the body.
CLEAN EQUIPMENT AFTER USE
Clean equipment before AND after you use it to ensure it is properly disinfected for yourself and all members.
PHYSICAL DISTANCING
Athletes must be kept at home if they are sick. Minimize contact with others for at least 24 hours after is gone or until your doctor clears you for participation.
COVER YOUR NOSE AND MOUTH
Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or the crease of your elbow when you sneeze or cough. Dispose of the tissue and wash your hands.
WASH YOUR HANDS
Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water aren’t available, use and hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol.
SEE A DOCTOR
If you suspect illness, see your doctor to help reduce severity.
IF YOU ARE SICK…STAY AT HOME
If you feel ill or if your doctor recommends it, please stay home until you are better and/or cleared by your doctor.
WEAR A MASK!
If you are less than 6 feet from another person it’s very important to wear a mask to protect yourself and others.
