Spring Lake Day Camp is bringing the Parisi Speed School to camp this summer! Mitchell Kessler, SLDC owner, feels that creating programs to help develop balance, quickness, speed and agility will benefit all children no matter which team or individual sport they wish to focus on. SLDC and Parisi share the ideals of professional instruction, offering campers well rounded programs to increase flexibility, improve coordination and improve sped. Every child will gain confidence and resilience when working on improving their personal best.
Spring Lake Day Camp has been a family owned and operated facility since 1989 by Mitchell and Michelle Kessler. The Kessler family has dedicated themselves over the past 60 years in developing camps. Mitchell’s parents Arthur and Natalie Kessler have paved the way for excellence in summer camping and Spring Lake Day Camp is the proof.
SLDC is truly an authentic summer day camp experience with the look and feel of a top overnight facility. Our ACA accredited camp is right in your own backyard, offering a true mountain feel like the camps of Maine.
SLDC, a magnificent 30-acre facility, off Route 287, Exit 57 (Skyline Drive), is nestled in the real Ramapo mountains. Our state of the art heated pool complex, water slides, private lake for boating, fishing and zip lines, athletic fields, adventure challenge elements, covered open air pavilions and air-conditioned indoor spaces keep campers moving on rainy days and heat wave situations. SLDC has a 3:1 camper counselor ratio in the group and in the pools. We pride ourselves on being highly qualified staff intensive offering outstanding instruction.
Air condition mini bus door to door transportation, catered lunch, uniform camp shirts and camp bags are included in our tuition. Our onsite nursing staff goes above and beyond to help make sure our campers are safe throughout the day. The physical and emotional health and happiness of our campers is our priority. Our program of swim, sports, arts, adventure challenge, special events, travel and more are blended together to help campers develop character, community and confidence. At SLDC, campers can start with us and stay with us, ranging in ages from 3 to 15, and then go on to become staff through college and beyond!.
We are excited for our new partnership with Parisi, offering an amazing 8 week elective program to our campers with the expertise and instruction of Parisi staff. Enriching the lives of children is a big responsibility which both the camp and Parisi takes seriously. All children deserve an environment that will ignite imaginations, discover passions and allow them to “dream big”.
