Typically, most families gather around the dinner table to share time together. But Peter Centenari and his daughters, Kristina, 16, and Gabrielle, 15, have a much more unique approach.
They spend their Wednesday afternoons running, jumping and sweating together at the Parisi Speed School at LifeBridge Health & Fitness in Pikesville.
The Parisi Speed School helps athletes of all levels to maximize their physical and mental potential. Led by Team Leader Hakeem Clark, the school offers classes for both individuals and sports teams.
Gabrielle and Kristina are both prolific tennis players. Gabrielle won the Singles title at the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland‘s Tennis Championships last year while Kristina is one of Maryland’s top ranked players for her age group. Peter also has a long history of playing tennis and enjoys snow skiing.
Even though they are all top athletes, they came to Parisi seeking an even greater edge to their game. And it has paid off. Here they talk a little more about their experience.
And is there any competition between Peter, Gabrielle and Kristina? Maybe just a little, admits Kristina. It is a family full of competitors after all.
But for the most part, it’s one family team focused on improving their overall athletic skills. That’s what I call quality family time.
