Samantha
There hasn’t been a day in Samantha’s life that she wasn’t being active. She started in dance at the age of 3 and has progressed into playing practically everysports she could fit into her schedule. Her main focuses were softball, volleyball, and basketball. She trained countless hours and played in the upper levels as the youngest on on her team most times. Samantha has always had a competive nature. She played volleyball for her college team for 4 years in the starting rotation. It was in those high school sports where she decided to become and Athletic Trainer. Her Senior year of college, Samantha interned with the New York Football Giants for their 2007-2008 season.
As a Certified Athletic Trainer one sees the other side of training. Samantha currently cares for local athletes grades 7-12 predominately, but is available to all ages K-12, former athletes, parents, coaches, and officials. It’s there where she regularly assesses, trains, treats, and rehabilitates injuries that occur during sporting or trainging activities. Athletes are training to return from injury to perform at the same or better level than before injury. It was seeing an increase in injury in her athletes that made her look deeper into the root of the problem. She noticed a decline in body mechanics and strength. She has made it her mission to help raise the competitive bar and lessen the devastating potential injuries.
Samantha has a drive to build on the capabilities of those she comes in contact with, to bring out their fullest potential as an athlete and most importantly a person; a pay it forward in thanks to those who did the same for her as an inspiring athlete.
