Parents often ask me, “How can I make my child a better soccer player?” The answer is simple and it breaks down into two pieces.
Working on your son or daughter’s ATHLETIC FOUNDATION is the most important piece. The best soccer players are essentially the best athletes on the field. They have to understand and master all athletic movements pertaining to speed, strength, and agility. When a player can manage their center of gravity, become faster, quicker and stronger, the ability to perform and execute skills becomes easier.
Second piece, and this is where many well intentioned coaches, parents, and organizations have it backwards, is mastering their FUNDAMENTAL SOCCER SKILL FOUNDATION.
I see it with our players every day how overlooked mastering the basics fundamental skills have and are becoming. Trapping, passing, shooting, dribbling are the most obvious and basic skills which must be constantly honed and sharpened at all age levels.
It’s great to perform and see at the elite level, but we don’t need a 9 year old worrying about how they bend a ball before they even known how to make correct contact on the ball to hit it with power! Or asking how to do a Ronaldo chop without being able to do simple inside and outside of the foot chops.
Parisi Soccer Training prides itself in its ability to improve a soccer player’s foundation. Only after the foundation is laid, cured and solid can one become an elite player. Once you’ve built the ATHLETIC FOUNDATION and mastered the FUNDAMENTAL SOCCER SKILLS we move players to more advanced movements and skill sets.
At any level, speed, strength and quickness separates outstanding players from the average players. Performance training sessions play a major role in our training.
That’s the Parisi Soccer difference.
