Join us in congratulating Owner and Program Director of Parisi Speed School of COMO is Columbia, Missouri, Chad Coy, and his athlete, Matt Caszatt, for his athlete’s great success and taking home the 2019 Athlete Success Story of the Year.
Matt came to Parisi COMO with a dream of playing college football and he knew he needed to get faster to make these dreams a reality, but first, he really just wanted to make the Varsity Squad. Chad told him, though, that this was too small of a goal, so he had Matt up the ante and told him they were going for a starting position.
Matt has a relentless pursuit of excellence, so he did everything he could to reach this new benchmark. He did weight training during school, went to practice after school and followed that all up by coming to Parisi. He stayed late with Chad and came in on the weekends to get extra help. And after all of that, he STILL asked, “What more can I do?”
With all of the work Matt was putting in, he began to see a dramatic increase in his performance, as well as his confidence and self-esteem. His ability to change direction and accelerate to where the ball was allowed him to start making more and more plays on the field. Everyone was starting to see Matt hit a new gear that allowed him to play the game at his speed and not that of his adversary.
And if his noticeable improvement in play on the field didn’t speak to his improvement, the accolades he received did. Not only did Matt earn himself a starting position on the Varsity squad as a Sophomore, but at one point in the season he played all three linebacker positions! He led the team in tackles, was named the Defensive Team MVP and went First Team All District.
Off the field, Matt is caring and helpful, actively involved in his school and church community. At Parisi, he constantly encourages the other kids in his session. He is like a coach, going over the focal points and definitions while on breaks. Matt does such a great job at this that he will be helping with the Jump Start group at COMO this summer.
Chad Coy says of his athlete, “Our mission is to build strength of character, speed of movement, and empower kids. I cannot think of a better example of the PARISI mission than Matt Caszatt. I do not know where he will play college ball or what his degree will be in, but I do know that he will be successful in whatever he decides to do!”
So again let’s congratulate Matt Caszatt as the recipient of the 2019 Athlete Success Story of the Year. Your hard work is only just beginning to pay off and we hope to see even greater things from you in years to come. And let’s congratulate Chad Coy on his continuous commitment to helping his athletes succeed no matter what it takes.
